Miso is a very healthy, traditional Japanese ingredient, made from fermented soy beans. Best for Japanese recipes, or add mellow miso to your cooking to give a new twist to Western recipes by introducing pure "umami" flavor. San-Ô's craft mellow miso is Sai-kyo (西京味噌) style, made with hands in every process. Using monoculture soy beans cultivated in Quebec as well as craft koji rice specialized for miso made in our lab.
